Transportation

Leinavatn is located approximately 40 km from Båthamna at the very southeastern end of Altevatnet. In summer boats and in winter snowmobiles are used to get to Leinavatn.

MS Altevann

MS Altevann is a very solid boat and has room for 12 people with up to 50 kg of luggage per passenger. The trip across Altevatnet takes about one hour. We offer transport to anyone, regardless of whether they rent services, equipment or accommodation; Also to other locations at Altevatnet, such as e.g. Storbukta. In summer and autumn, Leinavatn is reached by MS Altevann from Båthamna at the northwest end of Altevatnet, to either the outlet of Ostuelva or Gjeddebukta. From the arrival point at the end of Altevatn it is between 1,5 to 2 km on an easily walked path to the cabins. If conditions allow, a Pioner Multi is used from the beach below Leinavasstua and to the camp, which reduces the walking distance to approx. 1 km.

Snow mobile transportation

In winter, Leinavatn is reached on a well-marked recreational trail for snowmobiles from the parking lot above the dam of Altevatnet to Leinavatn.

We rent out snowmobiles with sleds for NOK 2150.- per day plus petrol (incl. VAT). Please see our price -list for further information.

Boat rental

In the summer, CampLeina rents out Lindner Fishing 440 aluminum boats with 5 hp and 6 hp engines for NOK 1250.- per day (incl. gasoline and VAT). Please see our price-list for further information.
